dc.description.abstract Artificial Intelligence (AI) has gained considerable notoriety for its ability to generate coherent and cohesive texts, as well as its flexibility and application in different areas of society, bringing with it some ethical concerns. In the educational context, the use of this type of tool raises discussions about the positive and negative results. This article presents an analysis of the use of AI-powered tools in the academic activities of higher education students at IFPI Campus Teresina Zona Sul (IFPI CATZS). The methodology employed was a quantitative-qualitative approach, with the application of questionnaires to students of higher education courses at IFPI CATZS. Through data collection carried out via electronic form, it was possible to identify that ChatGPT and Gemini are the main AI tools used by the participants and that only students of the Computer Science degree course are aware of Campus initiatives for the use of AI tools.pt_BR
dc.description.resumo A Inteligência Artificial (IA) tem ganhado bastante notoriedade por sua capacidade de gerar textos coerentes e coesos, bem como sua flexibilidade e aplicação em diferentes áreas da sociedade, trazendo consigo algumas preocupações éticas. No contexto educacional, o uso deste tipo de ferramenta levanta discussões sobre os impactos positivos e negativos. Este artigo traz uma análise acerca da utilização de ferramentas alimentadas por Inteligência Artificial nas atividades acadêmicas dos alunos de nível superior do IFPI Campus Teresina Zona Sul (IFPI CATZS). A metodologia empregada foi de abordagem quanti-quali, com a aplicação de questionários para alunos dos cursos superiores do IFPI CATZS. Através da coleta de dados realizada via formulário eletrônico, foi possível identificar que o ChatGPT e Gemini são as principais ferramentas de IA utilizadas pelos participantes e que apenas os alunos do curso de Licenciatura em Computação têm conhecimento sobre iniciativas do Campus para uso de ferramentas de IA.pt_BR
