Telerradiologia e suas aplicações: uma revisão integrada da literatura

Abstract

The name telemedicine is given to the use of modern technologies in the fields of telecommunications and information for the provision of medical care, information and services at a distance, both for patients and for other professionals in the health area. The constant evolution of technology and means of communication means that distance medicine tends to conquer more and more space in the market. Telemedicine in radiology is a useful tool for remote diagnosis and consulting, in addition to the greater agility and the same reliability of a face-to-face report, teleradiology eliminates the need for the hospital to maintain a face-to-face team of radiologists, which can represent a very high cost of according to the demand of the hospital. This article consists of an integrative literature review that aims to assess the importance and application of Teleradiology, identifying contributions for professionals and patients. Facilities that Telemedicine promotes in the service were perceived, as well as resources that optimize the performance of exams and preparation of medical reports, making the daily routine of professionals in the sector more flexible, and promoting a reduction in costs, making its implementation in a health unit feasible
