Formação inicial do professor de matemática: do real ao ideal

Abstract

The objective of this study is to verify if the degree course in Mathematics of the IFPI-Campus Corrente offers the theoretical-practical subsidies necessary to the teaching performance, having as specific objectives to recognize what are the necessary and current skills and abilities the teacher training in Mathematics, to verify the importance of the specific pedagogical and pedagogical knowledge, to observe the curricular structure, as well as to verify the theory - practical relation of the course of Degree in Mathematics of the IFPI. The research was carried out with the community of teachers and students that are part of the Institution. From a qualitative approach the research used as a source of information and data collection the semi-structured questionnaire with students and teachers and analysis of the PPC (Pedagogical Project of the Course) of the Degree in mathematics years 2013 and 2015. The authors used to construct the theoretical reference were Fiorentini , Perrenoud, Pimenta, D 'Ambrosio, Silva, among others that discuss knowledge about initial formation, theoretical and practical aspects in teacher education. For analysis and interpretation of the data, he used the second methodological procedure Bardin (2011), which consists of discourse analysis. The data showed that according to the teachers the course meets the necessary conditions for a teacher training, with a high level of satisfaction regarding the PPC as a complete proposal of initial training in Literature in Mathematics. But in the opinion of the students, they believe that the IFPI Mathematics Degree Course - Campus Corrente does not work on basic mathematics, which is the first requirement for acting in the classroom.
